In traditional finance, banks and governments act as middlemen with full power. In crypto, power is spread across thousands of computers (nodes) worldwide.
This makes the system more resistant to censorship, hacks, or shutdowns. If one node goes down, the network keeps running. It’s the core idea behind Bitcoin’s “don’t trust, verify” philosophy: trust math and code, not institutions.

What is Blockchain Technology?
Blockchain is the underlying tech that powers most cryptocurrencies. Think of it as a digital ledger that’s shared publicly and constantly updated.
Transactions are grouped into “blocks,” cryptographically linked to previous blocks (forming a chain), and verified by the network. Once added, blocks are nearly impossible to change, making it tamper-proof and transparent. Everyone can see the history, but no one can easily rewrite it.
Together, decentralization and blockchain create a trustless system, where anyone can participate without asking permission.
